Eli has let himself go for so long he barely recognizes the face staring back at him in the mirror. Pulling out of his funk, however, takes more energy than he can muster on his own. Stepping in to help is what Abra does, especially when the one in need is as lost and broken as Eli. Little by little, Eli reclaims his life with Abra by his side, although trouble is still breathing down his neck. Another death, break-ins at Bluff House and a three-hundred-year-old lost treasure all force Eli to take a stand and maybe find answers to clear his name finally.

Bluff House is very much an integral character in this story. With her history, beauty and uncompromising strength; she stands the test of time and generations of Landon’s. If Eli and Abra may be the most current players, an entire series could be built on the legacy born within these walls. Eli is the perfect embodiment of this privileged upbringing, yet it is obvious that hard work, commitment and community go hand in hand with being a Landon. I love how Abra is the light that fills his heart and makes him want to be the man he is meant to be.
