Dax is vampire who lost his fated mated eight years before. He is close friends with his fated mate’s twin Quinn, though those feelings have been turning into something more for the last few years. Dax knows he cannot go on without telling Quinn how he really feels, and plans to do so the next time he sees him.

Quinn loves Dax, however, he believes because he looks like his twin that his visage must cause Dax pain. He also wants Dax to find love again, and feels that they both must move on with their lives.

Dax uses the pretext of his brother’s wedding to reveal his true feelings, that he is in love with Quinn, but he is nervous as hell. Fortunately for him, his friends and family know of his feelings and want him to be happy. So much so, they go out of their way to throw the two together. But when the vampire King and Queen set their sights on Quinn and knowing of the couple’s tendency to seduce young men they take a fancy to, Dax has a hard time controlling his jealousy. Will he be able to convince Quinn that they belong together or will he lose Quinn forever?

I really really LOVED Claim Me! Two of the best things about Ms. Medina’s stories are the world building, and the way she crafts the characters and their emotional makeup. I have yet to read a story by her that I did not feel completely satisfied with the story and the conclusion. This book was no different, and the author is clearly a master storyteller. I think the thing I loved most about this story is how Ms. Medina crafts the character’s second chance and how she shows that losing a fated mate does not mean you cannot find love again. After all who does not love a story about second chances? I’m off to get the second book in this series since I apparently read them out of order. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves m/m romance, vampires and fantasy!
