Leidolf Wildhaven is a rancher and an Alpha werewolf. He has taken over the leadership of a misfit group of wolves who were abused and demoralized by their former leader. He is a tall, handsome and powerful leader.

Cassie Roux strays into the territory of Alpha Leidolf Wildhaven while trying to save a starving red wolf bitch and her pups. She usually avoids pack lands but the wolf needs her badly. The last thing she needs is to attract the attention of the pack leader; she values her independence and career too much, but Leidolf is hard to avoid and harder to ignore.

Cassie and Leidolf are a memorable couple. Both are independent and strong-willed people with some pretty serious baggage. The plot is gripping with lots of action and suspense in addition to very hot love scenes. I also loved the subplot of Cassie’s long-lost cousin and the widower werewolf. The author has created an interesting world for her wolves and memorable characters to populate it. This is an excellent werewolf romance, and I will definitely be reading more of this author’s work and soon.
