I’ve been a fan of vampire books for years. From the dark, edgy, sexy ones to the campy, comic stories. So, when my husband and I spent a weekend at a Bed and Breakfast in a historical town along the Delaware River, the setting seemed perfect for a vampire story. The buildings for the quaint shops and restaurants date back to the 1700 and 1800s. Many have stories of ghostly residents. The canals winding behind the old buildings with ancient paths and stones walls breathed a haunted energy that stirred my inspiration for a dark romance with vampires.
