Naïve and Bipolar were dating for just a few months when their relationship died. He is cynical and continues to play mind games with her. Finally, when Naïve has had enough, she realizes that being with him is not good for her optimistic views.
Peanut Butter and Jelly were together for just over seven years when their relationship went south. Jelly was tired of Peanut Butter playing the game, the one she played all day and long into the night. When he overheard her talking on the phone in the romantic voice she used to use for him, he had enough!
Fifty-one stories divided into five categories, all with the same frame. They are relationship obituaries that people have written about their past affairs and loved ones. From lying and cheating, to neglect and abuse, to realizing you like the same sex, they all have one thing in common: They all are about how they broke up and whether they moved on or not.
Relationship Obits is edited by Ms. Horan, who started the original website relationshipobit.com after her boyfriend broke up with her. With an interesting compilation of both the funny and the sad, these stories will take you through many different heartaches and celebrations. The tales are unique and kept me interested throughout the novel. My only recommendation is that this book would not be read all at once, but would be better served being read at a party or even one or two stories at night before bedtime.
