L does not owe anyone. He has paid his way in the world, knowing what it is like to be in prison. He loves his daughter and wishes her to have a better life.
E scored more than eight touchdowns in one game during a season. He likes to be well-dressed and wants to keep his race strong.
B is the youngest of the men. He listens to the older men and voices his opinion, too.
Four men sit around smoking weed and discuss events in the world. For them, the word politically correct is just another word for lie. They feel if corporations get involved with government, then one never would know who was pulling the strings. From education, to overcrowding jails, and terrorists, the conversation flows with the same repetition of everyday life. As each wrangle and strongly voice their opinions, L grows sick of hearing about E this and E that.
With only initials instead of names, Everyday Life starts off with slang and strong language as four men robustly voice their views. It is apparent by hearing each verdict they express, they have been affected in some way. I have to admit, even though this is not the type of book I normally read, there was something in the composition that kept me interested in their conversation. There are probably many in the world that can relate to some of the men in this book. I could have done without some of the language, even though I know there are people in this world that do use this type of slang. I like the way M.G. Hardie displays his writings in a play making it an easy flowing read.
