I’ve just been reading some of the comments and the excerpts. What a great day this is turning out to be. I am thrilled with the turn out of both readers and authors and you guys are being a very active and fun crowd. Hoo-rah!! I am not sure how I decided on the animal related theme but it just seemed like a good idea and I guess a bunch of you agree. That is fab.
Marcia, you and Deirdre share a title but then I can tell they are very different sorts of stories although romance is involved since hers are gay and yours are straight but dogs do make some pretty good matchmakers, don’t they! I am laughing here at some of the antics. Anyway titles cannot be copyrighted! So it’s okay I am sure. I’d love to win that necklace but I’m not eligible–pouting. Oh well, Karenne treats me real nice and keeps me in fabric to make the quilts we give away here several times a year!!
My late hubby and I used to have a beautiful Chow-wolf mix dog we called Alanna. She went almost everywhere with us and it was so funny. If one of us was waiting for the other and had Alanna along there would always be people stopping to talk to us–mostly ladies for him and men for me LOL. We never either of us got jealous and it was all just good clean chat anyway. It was just that she was such a charismatic and personable dog that people had to stop and see her. If you have seen some of a newer breed called Eurasiars she looked a lot like them. I read they are a cross breeding of Spitz and Chow to re-create a dog similar to the first domesticated wolves that ancient people had in Europe. But Alanna was before they were in the US at all I think.
