It's easy to understand how a person becomes a writer, chef, doctor, musician or dancer. Creativity, the desire to heal the sick, the love of music are relatable. But have you ever wondered how a person ends up being a puppeteer, or better yet, a mortician?
Of course, often a person works in the family business. But what must it be like to be born into a family where the business is Heavenly Haven Funeral Home? Even if you're born into that family, you still ultimately choose to take on that profession. How does a person choose to be a mortician?
If you're curious what some of the stranger professions are, check out these weird jobs. For me the wierdest job on this list of 37 weird jobs is snake milker. Snake milker? Is there a market for snake milk? Who would drink snake milk? Well, titles can be misleading. Snake milkers get the venom out of snakes, which is then used to treat snake bite victims. Admirable profession, and perhaps one that suits a person who likes to live dangerously. Dog food taster is one I just can't wrap my head around! Who would kiss that mouth at the end of the day. Oh! Of course. The family dog. Imagine the loving you'd get whe you got home. LOL.
When all is said and done, I still can't figure out who would choose to become a motician. But there is one other job that I think is really wierd: crime scene cleaner.
Specialized training, knowledge of deep cleaning equipment, attention to detail and above all valiant guts are mark up of Crime Scene Cleaner. A crime scene cleaner clears up the mess after the dirty offenses took place which may include cleaning of damage to walls, doors, stains of blood, bones or body parts. It is one of the dirtiest jobs in the world which may even lead to emotional disorders but someone has to do it after all.
Not for any emotional or timid persons please!!!
GIven a choice, I would probably have to choose mortician.
What are some of the stranger professions you've seen and why do you think that person chose that profession?
It is interesting what kind of job people have. I am an administrative professional and work with numbers all day. In my spare time, I trade that for needlework that has a lot of detail, genealogy, and reading all kinds of books. I love the details!
