What a great day we have had!

I want to thank all the wonderful authors who jumped in today and shared so much fun and fascinating stuff with us! And all of you readers who told us about your beloved pets and the good times and a few sad ones you have had with them. Our animal friends really do enrich our lives in so many ways. There is an old western saying that a man who has one good dog and one good horse in his lifetime is truly blessed. By that rule of thumb I am super lucky for I have enjoyed several. May the rest of you be equally fortunate!

We have about an hour to go. For the contest purposes on the main drawings we will be cutting off a little early (not waiting until midnight or tomorrow) for my contest manager has to do her bit a little early as she has day job obligations tomorrow that will keep her from waiting until then. I know most of our authors do their own selections of winners but if anyone wants us to handle it you can email me (bookbrew@coffeetimeromance.com) and I will be sure it gets taken care of. Also, Deirdre and Gwynn will do their selections tomorrow and will add any ‘late birds’ who check in this evening after about 8:00 pm MDT so they have a chance for at least one prize!

I know my TBB/TBR lists got about a foot longer today — I will never get to all of them if I live to be 100 like my maternal grandpa did but I can try and enjoy every bit of it. Next to family, friends and my precious four footed pals, books are about the greatest joy of life to me! And if you are here I expect you feel the same.

Our May event will be a bit later than the 1st though still the first Monday. On May 6 we will have “Western Day” and enjoy some great cowboy, wild west, rodeo, Native American and similar tales and their authors. Mark your calendar to be with us for a riding, roping and rootin’ -tootin’ good time. Several authors are already signed up and I am sure more will be joining us. I’m going to see what kind of a special and fun prize we can come up with in addition to the usual book giveaways–no quilt but maybe something equally cool…. After all, I live in New Mexico which is a very western state between Texas and Arizona!

I’ll be checking back to approve comments thru the evening but I’m going to be stepping aside for now. Afternoon and evening chore time and all that.  Again thanks everyone and I hope you had as much fun today as I have!
