The Other Side of the Mountain by Evans G. Valens

Jill Kinmont emits the true courage of a fighter. This downhill skier had her Olympic success suddenly turn tragic when she suffered a terrible fall making her a quadriplegic. Throughout all the struggles, she set forth a huge amount of determination to overcome her handicap to find that certain loyalty and dedication to overcome the overpowering impediments she encountered. Faced with the disability, she pushed forward to overcome that mountain and prove she could overcome any tragic.

I really loved the book, and the movies that were made from it. Jill Kinmont was a survivor and show how no matter what disability a person may have, they can overcome anything with a bit of perseverance.
