Tender Touch

Good Morning!
My name is Tanya Stowe. This is my first time on Coffee Thoughts Blog and I’m so glad to be here! In November of last year, my first Inspirational western romance called Tender Touch was released by White Rose Publishing. Since that time, my life has taken an unexpected twist. Not just because of the book release, (I also have a time-travel romance published) but because my husband retired from his civil service job and took another position. His company sent us to the East Coast to train for a new job. When my husband finishes his training, we will move to the Middle East for two years. Talk about culture shock! It’s going to be an exciting adventure.

One of the benefits of this change is that I meet many people. Recently, I met a young woman from another country who lives and works here. She misses her family and when I asked her if her relatives come to visit, she said not much. They don’t like coming here because things are so rushed and everyone is always working!

Having just returned from a whirlwind visit with my children and 18 grandchildren, I couldn’t help but agree! I don’t know how I found the time to write when I was living at home. And even now, between maintaining a house long distance, doing the business end of writing and life, I’m struggling.

The point is that even though my circumstances may be slightly unusual, I AM NOT ALONE! I don’t know a woman who’s not juggling career, family and commitments. One thing I’ve learned during this great change is that quality of life is very important. We need to take the time to slow down and enjoy.

I slow down by reading. My summer reading list is growing by the minute and probably will cross over into the fall. There are so many great books coming out from White Rose Press, it may even extend to Christmas!

I hope you’ll add my book, Tender Touch, to your list. It’s the story of a young woman living in the 1860’s California Sierras. Lacy has an unusual problem. She’s a hands-on-healer. Everyone, including Royce Darnell, calls it a gift from God but Lacy considers it a curse that’s destroying her life.

In the meantime, I’d love to hear from you! How do you slow down? Is there a formula or a magic key that makes your hectic life manageable? Take some time and please share your survival tricks with us! By the way, if you comment, I’ll add your name to a drawing for a free ecopy of Tender Touch.
