Summer is a time for fun in the sun, but I can't resist a few hours indoors soaking up the movies of summer. Summer films tend to be fun – filled with action and adventure or laughs galore. Summer movies bring back memories year after year. Some of my favorite summer movies include:

1. Jaws – You still won't get me in the water after dark!

2. Independence Day – Nothing like watching Will Smith fight aliens…and Bill Pullman makes a mighty fine President.

3. Raiders of the Lost Ark – Indiana Jones at his Nazi-fighting finest

4. Star Wars – Han Solo at his empire-fighting finest

5. Grease – One of the great movie musicals

6. Die Hard – I can still hear "Summer in the City" playing every time I think of Bruce Willis in this movie…very hot!

7. Iron Man – I'm usually not a super-hero movie gal, but I'll make an exception for Robert Downey, Jr.

8. Austin Powers, International Man of Mystery – Yeah, baby!

9. Jurassic Park – Giant Tyrannosaurus – need I say more?

10. Ghostbusters – Who'ya gonna call? Love Bill Murray!

11. Caddyshack – More Bill Murray 🙂

12. The Empire Strikes Back – Have I mentioned I have a thing for Han Solo?

13. The Mummy – How can I resist a movie with a librarian/adventurer heroine and a very hot Brendan Fraser?
