Taking Stock ““ an MMF erotic sci fi romance

Taking Stock came out on the 2nd September with Samhain Publishing. In my head it’s been long known as”“ my aliens in Walmart story. Inspired by the thought of getting trapped inside a Walmart store, I wondered what aliens might think of the place if they landed on Earth. Some might say Walmart is already full of aliens but I guarantee none are as sexy as my guys Rowe and Kai.

For a chance to win an ecopy of my book, please leave a comment below saying what you’d do if you met an alien in Walmart.

When the giant store’s exits clang shut, trapping Zoe and several others inside””including two impossibly sexy guys””Zoe figures she won’t need a beach for a no-strings romance. But it doesn’t take long for her to realize she could be facing the end of her short future sooner than she expected.

Excerpt

“When did I last cause you any problems?” Rowe made a good show of looking
indignant, though Kai thought he caught a glimpse of hurt before Rowe masked it.
As usual, Kai backed away from confronting the issue that grew ever larger between
them. “You upset Antya at her party and it was me she soaked with her drink. Then you
started an argument with Parget and I was the one left groaning on the floor. It hasn’t escaped
my notice that when you get into trouble, I’m right there in it with you and somehow you
manage to walk away unscathed. It’s either dumb luck or an amazing talent.”
“Parget swings like”¦an octopus.” He grinned. “Great word. Eight legs and nothing to
do with a cat. You should have ducked.”
“I wouldn’t have needed to duck if you hadn’t insulted the Nargarian, which forced
Parget to defend her.”
Rowe winced. “I didn’t like the way she was looking at me. Like she wanted to”¦eat me,
but not in a nice way. Nargarians have too many teeth.”
Kai laughed. That was the trouble with Rowe, it was impossible to be mad at him for
long.
Rowe turned to walk alongside him. “What’s the worst thing I’ve ever done to you apart
from nearly getting you killed a few times?”
Kai didn’t even need to think. “Age twelve, you stamped the outline of an erect cock
and balls in the snow on my parent’s precious oolascap, an image that became even clearer
after the thaw and stayed until the oola started to grow. All their neighbors could see it.
Every passing helicar could see it. There were special trips to see it. I was grounded for five
months.” And severely beaten, though he’d never told Rowe that.
Rowe snorted.
Kai pushed his hands into his pockets. He’d never admitted who’d made the image in
the snow but suspected his father knew. The punishment was for not stopping Rowe from
doing it. Kai’s sadistic military bastard of a former star-fighter-hero father seized any excuse to discipline his non-star-fighter nowhere-near-a-hero son.

This was inspired by an actual event – my son’s handiwork on the lawn!
