Spend the Day with Miss Mae

Good morning Coffee Time, and thanks to Bonnie for having me today. 🙂 I am Miss Mae, romantic mystery       author. For those who don’t know me, let me give a little background:

All of Miss Mae’s romantic mysteries, “Said the Spider to the Fly”, “When the Bough Breaks”, “Dove Island”,   and “See No Evil, My Pretty Lady” are award winning best sellers. Her latest, “Catch Me If You Can” has already received a top rated five-star review. Tantalizing trailers, and more information, is readily available at her website: www.missmaesite.com

Miss Mae also enjoys writing humor and non-fiction articles. Besides her monthly contributions to the ezine American Chronicle, some of her publications can be found in The Front Porch Magazine, Good Old Days, and WritersWeekly.

Her alter ego, M.M. also has her first children’s book, “The Mishaps of Gum Drop Island” available in digital download at Smashwords, and now in print at Amazon.

Let me break that narrative down. January 2007 my first book, “See No Evil, My Pretty Lady” was published by The Wild Rose Press. I was so excited! How thrilling to see my story for sale! Then I really got a bad case of the nerves as I waited for my first review. *gulp* You mean there was more to this writing business than just getting published? Two months later, that review arrived from The Long and the Short of It. The reviewer said: “Loved it! This book is a must read!” Shew, was I so thankful she didn’t say, “Hated it! This book is a must trash!”

My second book, also released from The Wild Rose Press, “Said the Spider to the Fly”, was released in 2008. This one made the honor of Best Book of the Week from The Long and the Short of It.

My third book, “It’s Elementary, My Dear Winifred” received a steaming five cups from a Coffee Time Romance reviewer! (Currently not for sale). Talk about a rush! 🙂

When the Bough Breaks” won the 2009 Preditors & Editors Award in the YA Category. Though slotted as YA, it’s romantic enough for the mature ladies. (all my books are rated G, by the way.)

“Catch Me If You Can” is my latest book. You can find it in both digital and print. 🙂

I also have one short ebook, “Dove Island” which won second place in the 2009 P&E Readers Poll for Short Story Romance, and one free read, “Fated Destiny”, available at both Smashwords and at Coffee Time Boards.

If I do say so myself, I have some incredible book videos. You can view them at their Smashwords pages, or come over to my site. I promise you won’t be disappointed. 🙂

Now, for the mostest (ha ha, I made up a new word. ;-) ) recent news: Miss Mae has developed a not so serious alter ego dubbed simply as M.M. Under the M.M. persona, she’s penned “The Mishaps of Gum Drop Island, Book 1”. You can find the ebook here, but the print has more features. Also, there’s a website for this new venture. It’s currently still a work in progress, but you are invited to become a member and join my site. Really, I’d love to have you there!

I won’t post blurbs and excerpts as those are easily found at my site.

How does everyone feel about blogging? I used to be at Blogger. Frankly, I didn’t enjoy it much. Not sure why, but it was just plain boring. Now that my website has also included a blog app, I love to blog! Each Monday I feature a segment called “Doggy Tales”. It doesn’t really concentrate on dogs, as all other animals are included. I invite readers/animal lovers to share stories about the pets that have made a difference in their lives. Feel free to leave a comment. Again, become a member!

Before this post gets too long, I’d like to close with the usual links: Facebook, Twitter, MySpace. M.M. can be found at Twitter and at this Facebook fan page.

And, of course, my corner at Coffee Time forum.

Come by and see me, y’all. I love to chat!
