Slow and Sweet by Stephanie Beck

Stephanie Beck loves romance and all things romantic. She enjoys writing stories that are heart warming and funny, though she will on occasion write a more serious piece. A full time mom, she adores her two wonderful daughters and writes part time whenever she gets a free block of time. She’s been writing since she was fifteen and her first novel was edited by her sister basketball players during the long bus rides to and from games. In her spare time she knits and sews, walks the dog, plays with her daughters, and tries to get her husband to act out the naughty things she researches. Her other published books include Poppy’s Passions, Between Elves, David’s Angel, and Cross-Stitch and Brimstone – A Winter Tale with Marshmallow.

I was absolutely riveted by this humorous and imaginative paranormal novelette. I relished the comraderie and byplay among all the characters, live and reanimated. The love and sense of companionship between Abby and Dan made me feel happy. Theirs is a sweet and caring relationship supported by a strong foundation of genuine friendship. This is a bright and amusing story made all the more unusual and compelling because of its subject matter which is normally depicted as gruesomely dark and horrific.  It left me completely satisfied and sporting a big smile.  I will be looking for more books by this author!

Thanks for the great review. I’m so glad you enjoyed Sweet and Slow. It was so much fun to make the zombie element into something completely different and unexpected.
