Love, I believe, is possible for everyone – from humans to aliens to androids. For androids, or Mechatronic Automatons as they are labeled in my series, the development of personalities, emotions, dreams and the ability to love is a connecting theme. How does a Mecha evolve beyond their original programming? What is necessary for that growth and development to take place? What happens once it does? When does a creation stop being a soulless mechanical construct and begin living?

These questions are examined within the pages of my first book, Ghost In The Machine, where a Mechatronic Automaton named Ethan and an unlikely encounter with a girl – a girl from a race that isn’t supposed to exist. As they struggle with their own internal understandings, they attempt to find a common place between them where love isn’t such a far-fetched idea, even for beings like them.

In my second book, Whispers From Exile, I look at what happens when you deny the love you feel and allow outside influences to tell you that you shouldn’t feel that way at all. It includes a Mechatronic Automaton named Torque and a Ruisk named Larx, who are introduced in book 1.

In my latest book, Tracing The Stars, I look at love between two childhood friends as well as love that develops unexpectedly when fate throws two people together.
