So who am I? I’ve been around a while so some people might know my name but for those who don’t here is my official bio:

During the weekday Janet Miller, sometimes better known as Cricket Starr, is a mild-mannered software engineer who writes code and design documents. But at night and on weekends she turns to the creation of offbeat stories about imaginary pasts, presents, and futures, where ladies become warriors or go to the stars to find love, and a man really can save a struggling software company. But no matter when the story happens, or where the hero or heroine is, there will always be adventure, humor, and meaning to the tale.

Her writing has won her multiple awards, recommended reads, stars, unicorns, and hearts and even a couple of trophies that look really good on her bookshelf next to her printed books.

I’ve been writing since 2000 under my own name, Janet Miller, first a science romance story, then a fantasy story, then a contemporary, then a vampire story. Basically I was trying to decide what I wanted to write as well as figuring out what people wanted to read. I picked up the Cricket Starr pen name when I wrote my first erotic romance book, Violet Among The Roses, a fantasy about a Greek statue that comes to life and falls in love with a human woman. That book is free over at Apple and Kobo and available as part of a bundle I call Mythical Seductions over at Amazon, Apple, and pretty much everywhere. Mythical Seductions includes all three of the books, Violet Among The Roses, Echo In The Hall, and Nemesis Of The Garden.

The other set of books I want to mention are my Gaian series books. These are not erotic romances but science fiction adventure romances where we have the results of a interplanetary revolution. The colony planet of Gaia broke free of Earth’s control but when one of their girl’s schools was destroyed during the war this left them looking to Earth for women. There are several books in that collection but I have one that I particularly want to mention. That would be Beloved Enemy, and it is free at Amazon and Apple.

Beloved Enemy is a book that takes place during the war and is about a pair of space pilots from opposite sides of the war who are stranded on a deserted planet and have to work together to survive. Since it has been free at Amazon it has gotten a lot of great reviews and well over ten thousand downloads.

I have a website that describes all of my titles (all 31) and has special sections describing each of my series, like Mythical Seductions, Gaian Stories, and my vampire-werewolf stories Hollywood After Dark.
