I know I’ve talked about this before, but it seems to be in the headlines more and more lately. So much so I’m beginning to wonder if it’s a pre-requisite for Hollywood marriages that you must be able to sleep around (if you are male) and be put through the papers as the ‘poor wife’. I feel for these ladies who have been put through such horrible things in their life – and to have it in the papers, on the internet, etc, is even worse.
No one would want to see me in the papers – especially if my husband cheated on me. I would certainly take care of his bodily parts – and personally I think Tiger should have kept his balls on the course where they belonged and we wouldn’t have this problem. And Jesse should have revved his engine at home instead of some icky yucky tattooed scary chick.
What do you all think? SHould we say ‘serves you right’ for someone like Sandra marrying a man full of tattooes and a scary past? Sure, he was married to a porn star, but does this mean he’s assumed to be bad? Should she have expected it? When I read stuff like that I think of all the men and women in Hollywood who have shady pasts – and there are a LOT of them!!! Drugs, sex, drinking, abuse…….pedifiles! Should they not be assumed to be bad? Should Charlie Sheen’s wife expect that? Should Robert Downey Junior? I don’t know…….I can’t say I was an angel in the past, but I certainly wouldn’t cheat on my husband…..even if Johnny Depp was single…..
Tell me what you think – I love to know – even if you realize that my opinion is still the important one!! LOL!! Have a good one. Hope you all enjoyed Mother’s Day yesterday. I did – had breakfast in bed and was able to relax all day while the housework waited for me this morning………
ooohh! Awesome topic Bonnie! I have to agree with you. It amazes me how much Hollywood jumps from one bed to another. And that is just the marriages. I feel there is NO excuse to cheat. In fact my husband knows better than to even contemplate cheating. Because the Great lakes are really really deep! He always says he wishes I would get jealous once in a while and my reply is always, “i know you won’t cheat. Because I would kill you”. End of statement.
As for Jesse…I was flabbergasted. And heartbroken. Because I love both Sandra and Jesse and when I found out he cheated, it was almost like a personal betrayal.
I may seem like a harsh b*tch but if my husband ever cheated on me, there would be no second chance. I have always told him when we were dating if some hot actress came and told him she wanted to screw him, he better call me first and break up with me. I don’t care if he is half naked and she is rubbing her perfect body all over his imperfect body. He better call me up and state quite clearly that we are thru.
I then of course would turn around, get extremely skinny and hot looking, and start dating some young but extremely wealthy man who could make all my dreams come true.
Jesse who…?
Seriously, I wish the news would carry more real news that affects folks’ lives – like the rider attached to the economic reform bill that is going to give the FDA alarming control over vitamins and herbs – and less of this back-fence gossip about people whose lives never touch ours at all. I feel sorry for anyone in the performing arts that has any desire at all for personal privacy.
At the end of the day, if you can climb into bed with someone you love… what difference does it make where Tiger keeps his balls?
My feelign is that the media will always latch onto details that make a story more interesting. Tattoos do not equate to being a bad person! (I’m biased, I have two).
A lot of people have affairs. Many humans aren’t very good at monogamy, for all kinds of reasons, but most have the freedom to do it quietly, without having their private lives splashed across magazine pages. I wouldn’t want that kind of fame, and intrusion. Mostly I avoid the gossip columns – people’s private lives are their own business, and I don’t want to participate in a culture that makes a spectacle out of it.
I was the cheated on wife and it was horrible. Letely there have been a slew of articles about “things just happen”, “I can’t break up a happy marriage”, etc and it infuriates me. It is insulting.
Unfortunately, it is not just Hollywood–they just get in the papers and under scrutiny by the fans. And since Tyger isn’t Hollywood, same goes for Sports stars.
There are many Hollywood actors/actresses married for years, so like I said not just Hollywood.
My opinion: no one should cheat. if you feel the need, you shouldn’t be married, as marriage is a committment.
Hi good topic!!! I don’t think that they are any different from the “normal” person, its just that they are rich & famous so we hear about it more and its harder for them to keep it hidden because of their high profiles, lol… I don’t think it right though, NO MATTER WHO YOU ARE!!! TTYL
Well, I think that people’s private life should be private. But I’m smart enough to realize that’s not going to happen. I hate celebrity gossip. When you walk past the news stand you can’t help but see some of it, but I try not to. It disgusts me.
I don’t think that anything can be assumed from someone’s past except that if they have a crazy one they have lived and been willing to take risks. Now if they have a prison record … I would certainly think twice. LOL
Most of the time when I see the headlines I ask, “Who are these people and why is this news?”
I agree with you though, if it happened to me it would not be pretty. But, I might get a movie deal from prison.
I also happen to like scary guys with lots of tattoos, but that’s just me. LOL
