Neil Deven is a dragon shifter and from a race of aliens who have lost their ability to shift into their dragons. His father wants him to marry a dragon shifter female of his choice, but Neil has no intention of ever doing that. He saw what life was like for his parents – an arranged marriage where neither was happy.

When Neil finds Moira outside his bar being shot at, he knows he has to help her. But Moira is nothing like he remembers, she is all grown up. He gets her away from her pursuers by using dragon technology that only he has the capability to work, given that the rest of the dragon shifters no longer have the ability or have forgotten it. Safe in New York, Neil finally gets the story out of Moira and comes to the conclusion she is being chased by dragon shifters from the dragon shifter council. But why would they want to hurt Moira? Can he protect her from his own people? What about his growing feelings for a woman who is twenty years his junior?

I loved Her Dangerous Mistake! This is the first M/F romance I have read by Ms. Leaf, as prior to this I had only read her M/M romances, and I must say it is every bit as good as her M/M romance stories! The world building is unique and well crafted, and I loved how Neil is a throw back to his dragon shifting ancestors. The love scenes are scorching hot, and sensual, some of my favorite to date! One of my favorite things about this story is that the surprises just keep coming throughout the book. If you love paranormal romance, and shifters, you simply have to get this book!! I highly recommend it!
