Wow! Can you believe this week is almost over? Seems to me this month has flown by and I haven’t had time to catch my breath let alone get anything done.
Hi. My name is Sandra Sookoo and I write romantic fiction. Some of my books are steamy, some are sweet but there’s a good bet that a bunch of them will have a good dose of humor attached.
I believe that laughing is good for the soul and goes a long way into making life better. So, let’s talk. What makes you laugh when you’re feeling down? Are you a knock-knock joke kind of person, a snarky observer of life? Does slap-stick comedy do it for you? I wanna know, so dish!
I’m here all day 🙂
😛 My kids often make me laugh when I need a good one! Thomas really cracks me up! This AM he and his brother were outside waiting to go to school and I knew that puddle was going to call to my Dirt Dobber! He was walking ‘around’ the puddle and alas, it rained ALL night, and the puddle extended past the sidewalk. . . .
Sandi,
I’d have to say that I laugh mostly at myself. My mouth tends to run ahead of my brain and I’m notorious for creating new words in the English language because I manage to combine two words together creating a new one. I do this on a daily basis. My family often finds it humorous. Have to agree. I’ve come up with some doozies.
Have a great day!
Stacey–sent Thomas down here. 🙂 There’s plenty he can find “interesting” LOL
Lynn–I know what you mean. I base alot of my material on my own life. Take yesterday for example. I was on my way to the store when I got distracted by a low flying crane flapping through the complex. Next thing I know, I fell off the front step. Yeah, not so much graceful LOL That’s me.
I have a few things that make me laugh… First, my son when he doesn’t get his way he’ll growl and do something like the Hulk Hogan pose and storm around explaining how angry and mad he is at me… Second, is my husband. He’s such a dork sometimes and always seems to try and go out of his way to make me laugh sometimes… Third, is me and my friend Amanda we are the weirdest funniest people when were together. Something as simple as a shinny penny on the ground can make us come up with some bazarre funny story about how it ended up being there… Last, I am notorious for my ability to make people laugh.. It could be me combining words or my reaction to something, and just being my crazy self in general sometimes make people laugh…
Many things can make me smile when I am down in the dumps.. Something I read in a book.. somthining on TV, or a funny joke that was sent to me through email and if I am out for my walk and see the kids in the park laughing and playing this is the sure thing to make me perk right up again…
Kristina–my hubby is a dork too. usually, he does really weird, dumb stuff or makes comments and always make me laugh. He accuses me of keeping him around for comedic relief lol
Kathleen–life is always the best medicine when you’re feeling down. The best place is to people watch at the mall. I often wonder if people know just how funny they actually look…
Snarky life observer here! Nothing is funnier than everyday life seen in the proper light.
SEINFELD reruns always crack me up, even though I’ve probably seen every episode about a hundred times. Instant smile.
