OF course the Irish, Scots etc have inspired a lot of fab flicks over the years. I am a huge fan of old movies for the most part and here are a few of my faves:

The Quiet Man Yep, admit to loving John Wayne and Maureen O’Hara both! What a wonderful battle of the sexes pair they made every time they acted together. This movie features wonderful scenery, some lovely (politically incorrect!!) dialog and good clean fun. Not too much on stereotypes considering when it was done.

I prefer Rob Roy to Brave Heart though both were good in their way. Rob Roy didn’t do too much violence to historical reality and gee, who can resist Liam Neeson in a kilt!? Romantic, and just a neat pic!
