Good morning everyone. I’m western historical author, Julie Lence. Currently, I have two western historicals published through Asylett Press, Luck of the Draw and Lady Luck. Both are part of a series featuring the Weston brothers; cowboys from the 1800’s who work hard and love deeply.
I’ve always had a soft spot for horses, ladies in their long dresses, sprawling ranches and cowboys. Tough-as-nails, strong, stubborn; these men lived by a code of their own. They were loyal to family and the women they loved, weren’t afraid to fight for justice or what was rightfully and lawfully theirs. Their jobs of maintaining a ranch and a herd of cattle were hard, and they spent countless days away from home herding cows and driving them to market. But they did it without complaint and with charisma in the style of Cary Grant and Clark Gable. Brave, comfortable in their own skin, and of few words, the cowboy is a timeless hero and one I greatly respect.
