Okay, Authors. Here’s your chance to comment and leave readers more info about your new releases. Genre? Heat Rating? Length? C’mon, tell us why we should want your book.
Oooo! I can’t wait to read Hot Ice: Cross-Checked by Lily Harlem and Emerald Green by Desiree Holt!
I’m one of the June authors with Damnation Books. They have me listed in the press release by my previous married name, Wendy Hawksley, but you’ll actually find me on DB and Amazon as Wendy Callahan. 🙂
Well, “Dead Wrong” is a short dark urban fantasy novella about a vampire who is trying to forget a devastating past when she encounters one of the people she has tried to push out of her memory. Once he shows up, she ultimately realizes that she needs to face her past head-on.
There are a couple of erotic scenes in the book with strong language, but the story is mostly focused on the vampire heroine trying to figure out exactly what she wants between the lover she’s trying to keep at arm’s length and her existence as a vampire, and facing her desire for revenge against the people who caused all of her problems in the first place.
Here’s hoping that, no matter what everybody is reading this June, all of you enjoy your summer! I know I’ve got some new books on my bedside table just waiting for my attention. 😀
Mandi, my first novel, is a fast trip through a corporate fantasyland of sex and power. My publisher, eXtasy Books, gives the story its highest rating for erotic content.
Mandi has everything going for her—brains, looks, education, personality, ambition. She wants life at the top, she wants it now, and she’ll do anything to get it. A recommendation from the professor she’s slept with through graduate school gets her a job as the personal—very personal—assistant to Alex Leed, to one of the world’s most powerful corporate executives. He introduces her to a new product the corporation is ready to release. The Fire Genie is a sex pill that creates almost unlimited potency and desire in women and men. Mandi’s life tangles up in a hurry. She finds herself at the summit of power. Then she is overwhelmed by the Master Genie, a potency that enslaves her mind, body, and libido. After her desperate escape, her life crashes. She pieces it together enough to see that there is one man who wants the woman she is when she’s stripped of power, money, and success.
Earning a five-flame rating from eXtasy books isn’t easy. The publisher demands a sharp story that rides on a deep river of eroticism. This novel brings it constantly, in every entertaining variety and combination I could imagine (so far).
Excerpts are available at http://extasybooks.com/, at http://www.valerieherme.com/, and in my daily Twitter.
Ellspeth, captain of the Sea Falcon, is determined to make her own destiny, and that did not include love…or magic. Despite his insolent attitude, she is attracted to the dark-haired dockworker she hires to help unload the vessel’s cargo. When the supposed dockhand reveals he is Lord Dal, the last member of the Council of Wizards, and her passenger, Ellspeth breaks a cardinal rule—fraternizing with the paying customers. Bringing him back from near-death releases Ellspeth’s latent powers and threatens her captaincy. For to have magic she must give up the sea.
In accordance with an ancient prophecy, Dal allows Ellspeth to be handfasted to him without her knowledge or consent. However, the prophecy doesn’t state whether she will return his love. A likelihood threatened as the deception is unveiled and they are hunted by fanatical clerics bent on ridding the world of magic and those who wield it.
Trapped within the Oracle’s Temple and marked for sacrifice, Ellspeth is forced to choose between survival, saving the future of magic…or love.
Now that you’ve set sail with Windmaster on an adventure into magic and love, steer a course to helenhenderson-author.webs.com for an excerpt of this 97,000 word fantasy, filled with action and romance.
Here’s hoping that, no matter what everybody is reading this June, all of you have a safe and happy summer.
