Christmas in Texas

Like much of the rest of the country, instead of Frosty the Snowman, we’ve got tepid temps in Texas. You think there’s no Ho, Ho, Ho without snow, snow, snow? Sweltering doesn’t stop us from displaying lots of holiday spirit. The San Antonio Riverwalk is awash in lights.

Alamo Plaza’s tree is decked out as a tribute to the holidays and to our local San Antonio Spurs basketball team. Go Spurs, Go!

As for me, I’m working on a new Scottish historical series to be published in 2016. But over the holidays, since I’m not much of a baker, my specialty is peanut brittle, made from a secret family recipe. (Nope, sorry, it’s a secret, I can’t share it.)  But I promise you, it’s really, really good.
