No thanks to her parents, Audra actually had a pretty idyllic childhood, but never would she wish them harm. To lose them in such a horrific manner was devastating, especially when it happened right in front of her eyes.
Generations of his family have been hunters, which is something Griffin carries on with pride. This hunt; however, is one that has gone on far too long, and Griffin is more than ready to be done with Malik.
“This cannot be happening” cycles over and over in Audra’s head, yet the proof that dragons are actually alive and well is undeniable. Griffin can see that Audra is in a state of shock, so going after Malik will have to wait, again. Audra is incredibly grateful to Griffin for saving her, but convincing him to let her continue with the hunt makes her feel alive. As the weeks pass and Griffin helps Audra hone her skills, the heat between them builds to a feverish pitch.
This is a fairy tale for adult eyes only, and it delivers on all accounts. Griffin is the conquering hero, and Audra, the perfect damsel in distress turned kick-ass heroine. Fighting dragons fits the mold as well, but this adult version is so much better. This story is a sexy little escape, which I feel is the perfect way to end any hectic day.
