Bailey Ventura is a medical student who is not really sure that is what she wants to do for the rest of her life. Her mother is a rabid Elvis fan, and so is she, to a lesser extent.
Carter Davis is the chief of security for a hotel and casino. He also moonlights as an Elvis impersonator. He is determined to get into the big Elvis contest.
Bailey needs a break from her life, so she and her crazy friend head to Las Vegas for some R and R, but Bailey has another mission. She is determined to find the Elvis who kissed her the last time she visited. Things take off right away when she wins a shiny new Thunderbird on a slot machine, and life gets even more interesting when she is rescued from being stuck in the shower by the hotel’s handsome chief of security, who looks remarkably like the King himself.
This novel is so much fun. Bailey and Carter share an immediate attraction, but circumstances pile up to make things difficult and very interesting. Carter has some secrets that could make things even harder, and I had a great time reading about their adventures. The Thunderbird clinched it for me, my 2002 Blackbird is one of my most prized possessions, so a character who would pick a car over cash is my kind of girl.
