Charia Brooks has been conditioned to believe love brings nothing but pain; both mental and physical. When she meets Garrison, she expects more of the same and resists his advances. Slowly, she learns he is a very different man, but despite his determination she knows she must resist to save herself and not let history repeat itself.
Garrison is a fun loving man who appears to be nothing more than a surf bum, but there is real tragedy in his life. The moment he sees Charia, his whole focus shifts and his only goal in life is to spend it with her.
Charia and Garrison fight for each other and just when there seems to be some hope, the past comes back with a vengeance, determined to destroy their future. Charia must learn to love again and Garrison must fight for the woman he loves, but will it be enough to save them both?
Crimson Tide is an interesting romance built on the foundation of a terrible past Charis has never grieved over. Garrison is a man any woman would be proud to call hers, but his character was an above average man who knew what he wanted and was willing to stand and fight for the woman he loves, even when she says there is no hope. The writing is beautiful and evokes the emotional reader who can sympathize with the pain of being hurt by the one who they were supposed to be able to trust completely. Crimson Tide is my first read by Ms. Geel, but it will not be my last.
