What makes urban fantasy real? For me it’s a story set in a real city that has enough fact to make you wonder. I love the twist, whether it’s magical abilities like Ilona Andrews writes, or shapeshifters like Patricia Briggs writes, or superheroes… which are my gig. I’m Liana Brooks, and I’m happy to here at the June Book Brew with you talking about Urban Fantasy. 

My first foray into UF was from the villain’s point of view. I’ve always had a soft spot for the Bad Boys, who doesn’t? There’s something so cuddly about the guy who makes all the wrong choices. Call it the Lost Puppy Effect,
