I found Kent Conwell to be an outstanding western writer. I love it when he is taking brides across the country in wagons, as the wagon train takes on many adventures, not to mention when he is searching for gold, helping damsels in distress. I absolutely love it when he is up against the bad guy and knows how to step in and take control. His male characters are easy going and know when to get tough and know when to allow the heart to soften. A wonderful writer, with a huge flare of stories, that increases every time he strikes the fingers to the keyboard. He grew up in the Texas Panhandle in a small town around 848 people. The inspiration of his grandfather inspired him in his love of the West. It shows in his works that he knows the west and brings out the bad guys, and the good guys, to make sure the law is put into force. From The Texas Orphan Train to Valley of Gold, and, of all the numerous other stories he has crafted, Kent Conwell brings life to the wild west. www.avalonbooks.com
