Today, I can't find a thing to complain about. Sure, there are plenty of problems in the world, and plenty of things I could complain about. But when I know that there are still folks who lost everything in hurricane Sandy, or when I remember that there are still people without the basic necessities of light and heat, I can't complain about a darned thing. We were lucky. We lost power for a week, but sustained no damage, and we had a warm safe place to retreat to during our outage. We were very very lucky.

We've all seen pictures of the devestation. This is nothing new. But let's not allow that to desensitize us. The desesation is horrific.
