I am not sure when Sue-Ellen Welfonder will be able to come by but she promised she would to address comments on her posts. And someone will win a copy of Seduction of a Highland Warrior for absolute sure! It was such a great book!!
I do want to thank a great bunch of authors for being here today and chatting with us. Wow, some totally amazing stories here and those that I have not yet read are definitely on my list. I think I will make some scones or broonies or something yummy like that and download a couple of ebooks and forget the dust blowing outside. It is not too early now for green beer although I actually prefer Killian’s Red if I am going to drink something along those lines. 😉
By the way if you are interested in some more good Celtic recipes, drop by Gwynn and Deirdre’s blogs this month. One is devoted to their fiction www.deirdredares.blogspot.com and the other is just friendly chit-chat about all sorts of things (Dreams, Dogs, Deserts and Druids they say) and is at www.deirdre-fourds.blogspot.com That is probably where most of the recipes will be. They will also be talking a bit about the Iditarod sled dog race which got underway this weekend with some sixty or so mushers and their valiant and amazing teams of dogs–most start with sixteen–making an incredible 1000 mile journey across Alaska in the next 10-12 days. It is just so awesome and amazing that it takes my breath to think of it.
In spite of being a confirmed desert rat, this whole concept just fascinates me and I am a huge fan. You can go to www.iditarod.com to follow some of the action and if you become a member or insider can view live web cam shots, videos and all sorts of things about the race. Right now I am rooting for Aliy Zirkle who came in a very close 2nd last year and is a veteran female racer, a fantastic lady and one of my heroines. It certainly takes a special kind of daring to confront the rugged terrain, challenging weather and sheer daunting challenges of making this race! I applaud anyone who finishes, whatever spot they complete it in. Praying for a safe run for one and all there.
