A snow-bound story from Deirdre O’Dare

Hi folks. Good to be here today. I’m a total desert rat and winter is not my season but despite that fact, I have managed to write a few tales that fit into today’s theme just fine! I did live in Colorado for a couple of sojourns, one in the 1970s and again more recently.  So I do know about blizzards and I spent about eighteen hours in a cold car back in the spring of 1977. Scary stuff!! I don’t ever want to go there again but like so many things I have experienced, it found its way into a story.

This tale besides being based in part on my experience, wound up being part of my Canine Cupid series. A friend who knew I was generally not a ‘small dog’ person challenged me to put a small dog in a story. Two other friends have Maltese so that was the little breed I chose to feature.  This was a fun tale to create and although it’s been available for awhile some of you may not have come across it. So here is the cover for The Maltese Terror and an excerpt will follow. Yeah, the guys are not wearing parkas LOL but somehow the muscled hunk image just would not come across the same way if they were!! Shall we call it artistic license?
