A number of years ago, I wanted to give a special thank you to the members of my critique group for their help during the year. I figured the best bet would be something of mine they could read without having to dissect or edit it. So I set out to write a short story for them that would capture the spirit of Christmas, and have romantic elements.

It was a big hit with the group, and later, I submitted it to a publisher. It became part of an anthology with author Sultry Summers, called Naughty or Nice. We later removed it from print to do other things with the stories. Mine has resided on my website as a free read, and is a popular download at this time of year.

A Romance for Christmas is a PG romance, with a sweet story and a huge romantic heart. Imagine if you’d lost everything and had to start over. How would you cope? This story is about a young woman who finds the grace and courage to overcome tragedy and move forward, helped by an unlikely cop “Santa.”
