Many years ago, (1985) when my son was still very young, my husband shattered his femur. As Christmas approached, I realized that if we were going to have a tree, I had to do the whole thing. Now, I’d done it before I married, but it had been a while, and our trees were much larger than the one’s I’d put up by myself. So I invited a bunch of friends over, cooked a lot of Christmas food, good all the ornaments and lights out, and our first Tree Trimming Party was born. Being in the Army people come and go, but throughout the years some of the same people who’d been at the first one, attended later parties.
