I’m an animal lover. Read the blurb for my erotic paranormal romance To Hiss or to Kiss, and you won’t be surprised that it involves a whole lot of animals, a jaguar shape-shifter, and psychic who can telepathically talk to animals, and as she finds out, shape-shifters.
I do have a dog I love, but I admit I’m a cat person. I currently have four cats and five foster kittens. And my husband still loves me. 🙂 In fact, I think there’s almost nothing sexier than my husband smiling at a kitten and getting a goofy look on his face. Well, if he could purr…. And that’s why my shape-shifter hero needed to be part cat. Purring was a must for my first fantasy man. At heart, I’m sentimental, though, and my best fantasy is my real life with my amazing husband and our menageries of animal companions.
What do you think? Do you want a man who loves animals?
 Blurb:
Chloe can “talk†to animals…so why can she hear the thoughts of this hot, green-eyed man?
Abandoned by her mother and raised by a father who’d given up on life, Chloe doesn’t let anyone get close. Lucky for her, she can communicate with animals—telepathically. Her long hours at the animal shelter help her cope with the stress, and the animals are the only people she needs. But when a suspected dog-fighting ring comes to her attention, Chloe decides to do a little spying. And in her rush to win the dogs’ trust, she almost gets herself caught.
Until a sexy stranger intervenes, and she finds she can overhear his thoughts. She’s never been able to hear people, and this man’s about as sexy as she’s ever seen. It’s more than intellectual curiosity that drives her to discover his secret: he’s a jaguar shape-shifter, and the presence of this cat among the dogs might be a bit too much to handle. But the animal attraction is just too hot to resist, and the passion between them makes both the sparks—and the fur—fly…
How cool to be able to communicate telepathically with animals. Wish I could do that, LOL. It would be interesting to find out what they think. Esp. cats since they are always so inscrutable. Dogs you can at least make a good guess. They have very expressive faces and body language.
Chloe does get in the heads of her cats in this book. And, yes, dogs are much less subtle in their body language!
Definitely would want a guy that was an animal person… I have always had a variety of pets in my household… Happy B-day to Ringo! What a cute looking kitty!
Thanks for the birthday wishes to Ringo. She’s a great kitty.
Love to speak and be able to understand my dogs. One is a sage.
Animals do have a lot to teach us, I believe.
I had an 18-year-old kitty once named Cassie. She was one of the best friends I’ve ever had and I still miss her like crazy. My favorite husband-critter moment occured one night when I came home late and found the man I love snuggled up on the couch with the kitty I adored. My husband had one leg slung over the back of the couch and the other foot on the floor. Cassie rested in the center as tight against him as was physically possible. This sweet man I married hadn’t moved all night for fear of hurting her. “I guess she found it warm down there,” he said.
Oh that is so precious! I can just see it.
The things we do for our pets. Love your story!
