Sasha’s Calling

Excerpt #2–
The compartment door signaled and slid open. What the””Sasha leaped to her feet and drew the Omegatron. The man, the ambassador she had kissed, stood in the doorway, bib coveralls covering a shirtless torso so firm, her mouth went dry. The polychrome eyes were now blue, and his head was shaved.
He smiled.
Her knees weakened, and the earlier flutter around her heart revived with startling intensity.
He stepped into the room. The door slid closed behind him. “That’s not going to work.”
His voice, soft and low, sent waves of desire straight to her pussy.
“The Memstat””you saw the green field””erases all computer memory on the ship.” He nodded toward the weapon still pointed at him. “Your Omegatron, model 47-A, is now blank.” White teeth flashed. “Just like when it came off the assembly line.”
Sasha glanced at the weapon. Only the battery light glowed. No ready, no armed, and no beam-power indicator””and no video feed of the field generator. The most valuable information she could have found in a lifetime””ten lifetimes””all gone. Her heart constricted, chasing away all remnants of the flutter. Magnus 3″¦ Dad.
“Afraid you’ll have to send that back to the factory.”
She jerked her head up. He stepped closer. Her pulse jumped. The memory chip. She reached into her bra and withdrew the thumbnail-size chip. The indicator read blank.
“That too, I’m afraid,” he said.
“You bastard!” She threw the chip at him.
It bounced off the fabric over his stomach like it had hit a trampoline. All that work and the money Orson had paid her. Sasha groaned. She had even left the ship she had spent the up-front payment on. For what? Dammit. She would have to go back to the spaceport, retrieve the lost information, and get more video of the warp generator. The mission paled in comparison to that find, though she couldn’t stomach the thought of Orson insisting on a refund horizontal-style.
Sasha leveled her gaze on the ambassador. “I locked that door.”
He shrugged. “Memory erased.”
The green field. She repressed a shudder. “I’ve never seen anything like that Memstat.”
He edged closer. “It’s special technology that allows me to come and go freely. With all electronic memory on the ship erased, no one can accuse me of stealing secrets.”
She pretended not to have caught the lie. The ship would need all forms of memory to function. He had to have sent that beam only to this room because he knew she was there. But how?
Sasha eyed him. “What about the ship’s computer? How do you operate without computer memory?”
“The little bot stores all that’s necessary. It has diplomatic immunity.”
Diplomatic immunity? Excitement tightened her stomach. Diplomatic immunity would get her back inside the spaceport, no questions asked. “Who do you work for?”
He took another step forward. “The Ethen Syndicate. You?”
Sasha holstered the Omegatron. Why lie? Only someone from the Syndicate could need or afford a fancy runabout like a Dasinger-Wong. He could verify her identity with a quick DNA scan anyway.
“Freelance,” she answered.
His gaze sharpened. “You play the freelance game hard and fast, little cowgirl.”
She blinked. “Cowgirl?”
“The way you wear that Omegatron low on your hip reminds me of nineteenth century Earth cowboys, but you’re certainly no boy.”
She stared, torn between lust and laughter. The Pinkertons had kept alive their humble beginnings in the old cowboy stories. She’d never been compared to anything resembling them.
The ambassador took another step, stopping at arm’s length. “I could teach you a thing or two. Join us. The pay is better.”
Warmth radiated from his body. “If the pay was better, I’d already be working for you,” she said in a casual tone she was far from feeling. Damn his pheromones. They were working overtime on her. “I like things the way they are.”
“Not me.” His gaze dropped to her breasts. He reached out with a finger, slow and unthreatening, hooked her bra at the little pink rose on the clip between the cups, and pulled her so close, she could taste his breath. “I think we have some unfinished business.”
Praise for Sasha’s Calling
I love a little espionage and passion in outer space. When you fist meet Dirk and Sasha, talk about two worlds colliding. With this type of collision, talk about sparks flying from the beginning. These two hook up fast and furious, in every way. This leads to a sexually charged and adventurous romp through different galaxies with technology that could save billions.

I am a very big science fiction fanatic and reading Sasha’s Calling was quite an experience. The amount of detail and ambience had me living Sasha’s life for a few of hours and loving it every second. The excitement of being chased by good guys and bad guys, being shot at and kicking some butts was such an adrenaline rush.

Sasha’s Calling is a wickedly awesome novel, and hands down a sci-fi/fantasy favorite on my bookshelf. This title opens with Sasha on the run with her latest steal in tow, adrenaline is pumping, guns are firing, and the only escape is to jump on a ship. Little did she know the passion she would find when she jumps on Dirk’s ship. *Grins* Let’s just say that passionate, erotic, lustful sex happens before they even know each other’s names! But eventually names do get exchanged, and the adventure continues as Sasha’s races to get her stolen data in the right hands for the safety of her planet and her father.

This is an exciting, action-packed space adventure filled with unexpected twists and alternate life-forms. The motivations of the characters are especially well-conceptualized, as are the sophisticated weapons, tools and gadgets used throughout the escapade. I enjoyed the heat that is always present between Sasha and Dirk.
