It looks like we have posts from at least nineteen authors today! That is just awesome!! I am so thrilled to see that many jumping in. The next two months’ schedules are pretty well filled too and this bodes well for the future of our event. For awhile there it was getting very slow and I was about to be discouraged!! Be sure to answer the polls today–we have one on the time for our event and one for different things you’d like to see here. This will be a huge help to us in planning ahead and keeping things fresh and lively for all of you. Variety is the spice of life and ruts are generally pretty darn b-o-r-i-n-g!!!
In April our theme is exotic or unusual settings and from what I’ve been seeing as authors signed up, we are going to have an astounding variety of exciting places to visit in the books featured that day–which will be April 7 if my calendar is correct. This is great! Then in May we will feature unique professions or careers for our lead characters, and again the response is blowing me away. I know a lot of readers are really a bit tired of the CEOs, cowboys, cops and caliphs–or whatever other titles you give those Rudolf Valentino style Middle Eastern princes!! So it is going to be great fun to meet some different heroes and also some heroines who have unique careers and adventurous lives! Our May Book Brew will be May 5. So that’s coming to look forward to. Mark your calendars right now before you forget.
Anyway my little red dogs, Ginger and Rojito, are telling me it is lunch time. No, they really are not spoiled (LOL) but they enjoy the edges of the cheese crisp or quesadilla that I make most days for lunch and a few bites of fruit. Their faves are watermelon and strawberries but they will eat peach, apple or orange as well. The main dish I make by spreading a large tortilla with grated cheese and heating it in the microwave for about a minute to melt the cheese. Salsa is optional; I like mild and the dogs don’t care. So that is where I will be for a little while. Don’t go away!
