#MythMadness with Immortal Need Paranormal Romance ~ Behind the Scenes!

immortalneed

Immortal Need is based on Norse mythology, though I changed quite a bit of the histories, other than the names of the gods and goddesses I used. In the world of Immortal Need, Freya is the wife of Odin, after disposing his first wife, Frigg, to Helheim after the Vanir-Aesir War. To create peace in the world, and get ready for Ragnarok, the gods have resorted to some devious means in the present time to collect warriors for the battle.

Freya is by far the worst. She’s taken men and women who she feels have wronged her in their human lives to collect her soldiers for the future war. She calls them Watchers: Lei, Sevani, Valerie, and Alexander. These four have been by her side for one thousand years, living through pain, agony, and without the chance to ever find love to repent for their sins against the goddess.

I though about their story after I had a dream about Valkyries. I wanted to do something different with them, maybe choose another god, and what would it mean for humans to be controlled by them. From there I decided to give these four impossible odds to ever finding love, and willing to do what ever they could to get it. Sevani’s story, the leader of the Watchers, is the first story of the Watchers trilogy, and the tale where the balance of the war shifts on amazing scales.

But his chance isn’t going to be nice. Freya has commanded him to kill the one woman he always loved, Nila, though she’s called Ayah in the present time. But what is a man to do when he can’t kill the woman he has always loved, and Ayah is just as determined to prove that love can beat anything? That, perhaps, love is worth fighting a goddess over.

Blurb:

Sevani, a Watcher for the goddess Freya, is a tortured man who killed his wife in a jealous rage and doesn’t believe in love, tasked to kill Ayah Miller. Sevani can’t do it, especially since Ayah’s carrying his dead wife’s soul.

Ayah wants nothing more than rest after burying her father, until an immortal appears in her bedroom and tells her someone is trying to kill her. “Sleep” is the last thing she wants. Ayah doesn’t think Sevani wants her as much as his former wife. They must defeat a goddess if their love is to survive–or die trying.
