TRICK OR TREAT! Happy fall y’all. I just wanted to take a moment to share the second book in my Feral Desires Series, Feral Awakening. This is a book that is very near and dear to my heart. I have to confess that our heroine Kat and I have a lot in common. Well, you know, except for the whole kidnapped by a hunky werewolf thing. Not that I would mind.

So”¦ Feral Awakening Book 2. Kat and Ronan are two characters that you are first introduced to in book 1, Feral Instincts. It isn’t absolutely necessary to read book 1 first, but I really recommend it. Book 2, Feral Awakening, runs parallel with the story of book 1 and there is a key scene where the two books come together. You will enjoy it more if you have read the first one.

Here’s a little description of Feral Awakening:

The Inside Scoop:

There’s a lot to talk about but I think I’d like to focus on Kat.

For many authors, your writing is influenced by your own personal experiences and parts of your personalities. Well, my girl Kat might have gotten a hefty dose of Erin. Really, I wish I could pull Kat out of this book so we could hang out. Kat and I are both small business owners with a cowgirl boot obsession (I’m on the hunt for a pair of purple boots so let me know if you see any, size 8 ½). Kat is the owner of an eclectic shop named Serendipity where she sells her re-purposed home décor creations, and I would really love to shop at this place. My own house and yard are a crazy mix of thrift store finds. I have a wind chime that I made out of old enamel pots, another made out of an old silver tea service, bowling balls line my walkway, and I also turned an old iron meat grinder into a table, etc. You get the idea.

We both share a fondness of the great outdoors and live in the country. Kat and I both share a flock of pet chickens. Kat named hers after famous people. I however named mine after family members. Which, by the way, got a little awkward when the chicken would pass away. You can imagine the looks on people’s faces when they would overhear me talking about Aunt Betty getting killed by a fox.

In this story Kat runs on the hiking trails behind her house for stress relief (a great outlet for any female Lycan going into heat, little does she know, she isn’t alone”¦). Until several months ago I was also an avid trail runner. (although not for quite the same reason). I was devastated when two herniated discs in my lower back suddenly benched me. Unfortunately, the damage is irreparable; I will never be a runner again. It was therapeutic for me to write those running scenes for Kat. Through her eyes, I could once again blaze a trail through the worn underbrush of the forest. Lucky girl, she even gets to run with a bunch of half-naked Lycan men in one scene.
