Good Morning, and welcome! Grab a latte, some coffeecake, and join in the conversation. My name is Desi Moon I will be your host for the day, discussing romance, books, romance, life and maybe just a touch more romance.

Storytelling began at an early age for me, as soon as I opened my mouth, if you ask my parents. I have been dabbling in jotting stories and poems as soon as I could hold a crayon, but was never encouraged to pursue my dream. I concentrated on getting into veterinary school, and holding down a “real” job.

Fast forward *hand over mouth mumble* years, I find myself working at an animal shelter (as an animal caregiver), and writing online articles about everything from puppy potty training to Qigong bone marrow cleansing to how to throw a fabulous party. But I continued to follow my true passion, fiction writing, honing my skills, and amassing rejection letters.

One evening after a particularly grueling shift at the shelter, I found an email in my inbox. Someone from Noble Romance loved my manuscript and offered me a contract to publish my debut novel Summerland. There in the middle of my husband doing cartwheels, my preschool daughter dancing around in excitement, the dog jumping in the chaos, and my cats running for cover, I had a glimpse of a dream come true.

I reside in beautiful Boulder, CO with my writer/game designer husband, Eben, two children, three cats and a dog (a loveably neurotic Beagler)

When I am not creating dysfunctional mayhem in fantasyland, I work as a certified dog trainer and am a student working towards my vet tech degree.

An animal activist and a coffee snob—that pretty much sums me up. No wait, I also would like to add that I am a major Project Runway junkie (which is why I made my main character in SUMMERLAND a fashion designer) and have been hopelessly addicted since season one

My newest addiction is Muay Thai kickboxing. And yes my life bleeds into my art, in Accidental Intent (Released through Rebel Ink Press 2012) the main character is a dog trainer and kickboxing enthusiast.
