What is it about a man in uniform?

When I was thinking of my latest hero I started thinking about men in uniform and exactly what it is about them that I find so appealing.

Hmm let’s see I’m sure I can come up with a list of good things. LOL

1. I’ll be shallow and say the way a uniform hands on a man’s body. They just seem to fit so darned well.
2. Alright it’s probably not politically correct but I’m just going to say it, firemen have that whole knight in shining armor thing going on. I don’t necessarily want to be rescued but I’d like to know that my guy could if the need arose.
3. Strength. Any guy who can pick up a person and hoist them over his shoulder to carry them out of a burning building has the strength to pick a woman up and carry her off to bed, or pick her up for some heated sex against the wall or in the shower. *sigh* Yep there’s something to be said for strength.
4. Authority- they’ve got that whole alpha male thing happening. Yum.
5. Good under pressure.  If he’ll put himself on the line for a stranger he’ll put his life on the line for his family. In theory if he can run into a burning building to save someone  he can be counted on not to completely dissolve into a heap when you are in a pressure situation.
5.He’s employed.
6. He can do for himself and won’t need you to mother him. In theory he knows how to cook, clean and do laundry since that would be on the duty list at the firehall, sooo he should be able to do it at home too. LOL
7. He believes in something, he’s dedicated his life to something beside just hanging with the boys.

Now I’m sure I’ve missed a few so feel free to add to the list with whatever comes to mind.

Those are excellent reasons, Lauren–I have to agree with them all.  It's that authority thing, and the confidence, and also knowing that this person is committed to the greater good.  Very hot 🙂
