Scarlet Fever is a fictionalized account of the struggle of a dear friend of mine.
Here is the blurb:
Alex Stewart has been roped into
playing wedding coordinator for his
older brother Ethan’s, wedding; and
nothing is going right today. And to
make matters worse, he gets off on the
wrong foot with the bride’s smokin’ hot
sister! Before he knows it, Alex is
suffering from a raging case of Scarlet
Fever, and is determined to claim this
woman for his very own, even if it
means giving up his life.
Scarlet is making one last trip to see her
sister get married, and to experience a
little bit of normal life. After setting eyes
on her too-gorgeous soon-to-be brother-
in-law, Scarlet decides that Alex is way
out of her league, and strikes off
Number 1 from her bucket list. When
Alex finds her list, and discovers the
secret she is hiding from everyone, he is
determined to help her anyway he can.
Can he break through her stubborn
pride and make her see that she
deserves a life; with him!

Today, I will post two excerpts and the interview will tell you her story.
My Scarlet is a wonder. She was born with a disability and when she got the opportunity to have surgery to fix it, she was allergic to the anesthesia and her kidneys were irreparably damaged. Because of the health care system, Scarlet fell through the crack and she believed for years that she had no future, no hope and and no chance at love. Until she met her Alex and he loved her enough to give her life and their own happily ever after.
All comments will enter you in a contest for a copy of Scarlet Fever.
Scarlet Fever is second in the Hill Country Heart Series
The first is Unchained Melody and the second is my newest release – Bobby Does Dallas.
That sounds like a great story. I’ve been reading more contemporary romance and this sounds like an intriguing premise.
I love the sound of this story and living your life to the fullest knowing it’s coming to an end. And finding someone to stick with you through all the moments of sickness is the real meaning of love. I love these teary-eyed stories and hope I get to read it soon.
