There are some books that you buy because you can not resist the name or it stirs memories that you want to smile at again.  1,001 Old-Time Garden Tips is a gem in this category.  There is a table of contents, but once you get past that, organization goes out the window. 

It is one Old-Time Wisdom after another.   Strange But True includes the use of the juice of the pokeweed to turn some flowers red.  Has anyone seen a pokeweek lately?  Do not forget the recipes.   You do not want to miss the Walnut Ketchup.

This book is fun to read and quote.  Look carefully.  You just might find some wisdom that you really really need.
