I like to read a little bit of everything because I feel the exposure allows me to explore different styles. In a paranormal vein, I’ve read Rowling’s Harry Potter series and Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight series. While neither would be classified as romantic, what I’ve enjoyed is their easy to read writing style and I strive for that in my writing.
I thought I’d share a couple of books I’ve read this year with you.’
Currently reading:
Blue Lioness by Vijaya Schartz. Set in a futuristic/speculative world, the leader of the black guards, Areila, must forge an alliance with the star children’s heir, but will their attraction get in the way of their goal to free Kassouk from mutant domination? I love Schartz’s creativity and imagination.
Just read:
His Conquest by Diana Crosby
I loved how this Scottish historical sizzled. Seathan and Linet’s story was full of action, danger, and romance.
Osiris’ Missing Part by Mona Risk.
This is historical, drawing on the Egyptian gods of Osiris and Isis. Can Isis finally tame Osiris? If you love exotic romance, this one has it.
Ancient Blood by Barbara Edwards
Cole is a werewolf who has found his mate, but when Lily is stalked, will she find HEA with Cole? I loved how the author kept the focus on the humanity of the characters and how Cole dealt with being a wolf.
The Arrival of Lily Curtis by Rachel Brimble
A Victorian Romance, Lily and Andrew had oodles of chemistry and plenty of reasons to fight their attraction. Will they be together in the end?
I enjoy reading all different subgenres of romance. I’d love to hear what genres of romance you like reading.
