Dressed for Success is my first age gap romance. Why did I write it? Because I enjoy age gap romance. In an age gap story, conflicts can be about the age of the characters and their differences. One is from Gen Z and the other is a Gen X. Or a Millennial finds themselves with a Boomer. The characters are at different places in their lives, and maybe have different goals. The Boomer could be in the process of buying a cottage on the lake, while the Millennial is all about their career. Gen Z is still trying to establish themselves, while Gen X is thinking about if they have enough in their retirement account to leave their job at the age of fifty-five or earlier. Buy It Here
Navigating these problems based on age can prove problematic for the characters, which creates tons of fun for the writer. Yes, we love conflict LOL, and we love writing about it.
In Dressed for Success, Bebe is a Millennial who has reestablished herself after a divorce, and nothing is going to stop her from succeeding, even though she secretly has the hots for her silver fox boss, a man who’s been there and done that.
I especially love it when the woman is older and the man is younger. I have yet to write such a novel, but trust me, it’s on my “to-do” list LOL. Until then, I will keep reading them.
