Is there anything better than curling up with a good book and a glass of lemonade during the heat of the summer months? I don’t think I would spend my summer any other way if I had the choice. This summer will busier than most, but there are a few books on my shelf just waiting for me to read them.

#1 J.R Ward’s Lover Mine

 I love the Black Dagger Brotherhood. They are rough and  tumble, yet protective and loving of their women. This is John Matthew’s story. I’ve watched him grow and change throughout the series so I am very excited to finally have his story in my hot little hands.

#2 Lora Leigh’s Lion’s Heat- Breed series

I fell in love with Ms. Leigh’s Breed series a few years ago. I stumbled up the sensuous tales completely by accident at the local library. Breeds are such raw, animalistic beings, yet the human side of them makes them lovable. This summer, Lion’s Heat is the Breed book. Finally, Jonas Wyatt (Lion Bad Boy) gets a chance at love and his mating. As if it won’t be a hot enough summer, I’ll add a little more heat to it.

#3 & 4- Gena Showalter’s Lords of the Underworld

Into the Dark contains 2 new Lords of the Underworld stories and 1 new story in the Amazon series (another of my favorites)

Then, comes the full-length Lords story, The Darkest Passion. This is one story I have been waiting a while for. This is Aeron’s story. Aeron is the Keeper of the Demon of Wrath and being such he is tormented constantly. Of course, I don’t believe his little demon companion helps matters any. Now, an angel has been sent to kill him, but when she falls for Aeron trouble is on the horizon.

#5- Savor the Moment- Book 3 in the Bride Quartet series by Nora Roberts-

Based on past Book Brews, I think it has been established that I am a Nora Roberts junkie. This series doesn’t help the addiction. If anything, it just keeps feeding it. I love the women who make up the quartet who own Vows, a wedding planning company. Mac, Emma, Laurel and Parker manage to put on beautiful weddings, stay the best of friends and deal with life’s issues. Savor the Moment is Laurel’s story. Laurel is the cake creator for Vows and has spent most of her life being in love with her best friend’s brother. Delaney, however, has always looked at Laurel as another sister.

I am quite anxious to see what happens with these two.

As you can see, I have a pretty busy summer ahead of me. Not to mention all of the canning, freezing and gardening that will need to be done. I hope you take the time to pick up one or all of the books, if you haven’t already. Have a terrific summer whether you are traveling, spending time at the beach or just hanging out by the pool.
