Some fave historical authors –westerns anyone?

I have been an avid reader for a zillion years and got my love of books going very early. After I had read all of Nancy Drew and most of the Hardy Boys I moved into ‘westerns’. They are still a fave genre of mine especially if there is a romance! Most of Zane Grey’s books did have a romance, very mild by today’s standards but that was still my favorite part. I go back and re-read one now and then as well as Louis L’Amour, and a few of the more modern writers. I still have a steno notebook where I wrote my own “ranch romances” as a teenager. They are worth a giggle or two.

My daughter read the “Long Arm” and “Lone Star” series but I never quite got into them–they were pretty hot as the hero had a female sidekick who was one frisky lady LOL. One of my fave modern authors of the western romance genre is Ginger Simpson and we will hear from her in a little while!

How about some of you readers sharing some faves with us? I love to find new authors and share rememberances with other readers too! Any CTR staff hanging around today? You are in on this too!!

I’ve somewhat recently discovered “ranch romances” myself. I guess I didn’t think I would like them, but I really do! If you like menage at all then you should definitely check out, Saving Emily by Becky Wilde. I thoroughly enjoyed this book!
