A few nights, a week to be her own person is just not working for Miss Lizzie Hyde. She is sick to death of Eliza’s stuffy and stodgy life, and being away from Johnnie so often makes her even more angry.
As Lizzie becomes more aggressive, Eliza feels like her sanity is quickly slipping away. She no longer has the upper hand, and with this Slasher on the loose there is barely time for her to breathe. The danger keeps building as Eliza realizes the victims are all part of an invention with unimaginable consequences. Lizzie makes everything harder for Eliza, but this case may be more than Eliza can handle on her own.
This cast of characters really keeps you guessing, and my recommendation is to definitely read these stories in order. I found the alternate personalities can be very confusing without having a good background knowledge of Eliza and the people in her life. This story line however is full-out action, and there is never a dull moment with Lizzie in the mix. She is definitely the devil on Eliza’s shoulder, but without her, Eliza would be missing an integral part of her personality.
