Larissa is going through life altering experiences and feels if she could reconcile her past maybe it would improve her future. The one unfinished piece of business was Matt, the man she left behind via a text. She decides to go back home and face the past and move forward free from a door not yet closed.
Matt has no idea why Larissa is back, and angry she would dredge up the past. Matt has a change of heart and decides maybe they could have better closure this time if they spend time together and then end it maturely.
The past has a way of catching up and eventually all deeds, good or bad, must be faced. When Larissa reveals the secret she left town with, will she and Matt find some peace and be able to move forward, or does moving forward mean moving back?
Matt and Larissa have an unfinished love story and witnessing how true love never dies is wonderful. The reader is unsure until the end if the couple will stay together or part as friends and move forward with their own lives separately. I enjoyed the characters in the story, each worthy of their own story, and found life on the ranches in Wyoming to be entertaining.
