Chloe’s life has been that of the typical teenager from a small town life. She has done well in school, has a few close friends, a steady boyfriend, strict parents and a seemingly average life; at least on the surface. So before she heads off to college she and her boyfriend and two other friends are going to traipse off to Barcelona.

Before they can reach that destination they must travel first to Eastern Europe to keep an old family promise. What they find is not what they expected and neither is Johnny Rainbow, the fellow American they meet.. He is full of many secrets as well as charm and appeal. All the reasons why Chloe begins to fall hard for the mysterious stranger.

As this group travels on this journey together, they soon find what they thought they had figured out for their futures, as well as things in their past, are definitely not what they had planned. No one’s life will ever be the same again. Heartbreak, love, secrets are just some of what they will encounter.

Oh how I enjoyed this book, it took a bit of time to read but was well worth it. Great story that kept me turning the pages. I never guessed what was coming next with this crazy group of characters. A rich story filled with history as well as the roller coaster ride of emotions, secrets and much more. I have found a new author to love and look forward to more books as exciting as Lone Star was.
